Intro to Our Firm
Our values and vision

Rammler & Wood, Consultants, LLC, is committed to person-centered
and family-centered supports.  We pride ourselves on achieving these
through innovative approaches.   We believe that all human beings
have natural gifts on which to build.  We believe that all human beings
also have common needs for physical well-being, safety, belonging,
feeling good about themselves, and success in their personal
aspirations.  We believe in self-determination by the individual and,
where appropriate, his/her family.  We believe in reliance on natural
circles of support to the greatest extent possible in assisting the
individual to plan and access "whatever it takes" to achieve his or her
desired quality of life.  Our vision is that every human being's needs
are met satisfactorily and that each individual achieves a lifestyle that
is meaningful and fulfilling within an inclusive community that
celebrates human diversity.
What we do

Consistent with our values and vision, we engage in a variety of
activities including staff development concerning inclusive education
and inclusive lifestyles, state-of-the-art practices, and effective
transition planning;  individual ecological/situational assessment,
formal diagnostic evaluation when needed, and facilitation of MAPS,
PATH, and other personal futures planning activities;  development
and/or facilitation of circles of friends and support;  collaborative team
building;  policy analysis and development;  family wrap-around
services;  and development of systems change recommendations.

Individuals supported by our firm have a variety of labels including
mental retardation, learning disabilities, autism and other forms of
pervasive developmental disorders, psychiatric disorders, physical and
sensory challenges, attention deficit disorder and other
health/neurological impairments, communication or movement
disturbances, and dual or multiple diagnoses.   Individuals supported by
our firm vary as well in the level of support they need in both the
short- and long-term.   Regardless of type and level of disability,
supports are individually designed based on an analysis of the interests
and needs of the person and the ability of his/her natural environments
to make appropriate accommodations.
